Join Denise Lieberman, Executive Director of the Missouri Voter Protection Coalition (MOVPC) for a review of Missouri suffragettes, including many unsung African American Missouri women who worked tirelessly to secure voting rights for all women. While we celebrate August 26, 1920, as the day women won the right to vote, it would take another 45 years until August 28, 1965 with passage of the Voting Rights Act to strike down Jim Crow laws and make that right a reality for all women.

The fight for fair maps is not over!! Missourians delivered 305,968 signatures to the Missouri Secretary of State to put politicians’ gerrymandered map on the ballot in 2026. Local election authorities completed their review, and Secretary of State Denny Hoskins has all the information he needs to certify the People Not Politicians referendum for the November ballot. On September 2nd, Hoskins will make a last desperate attempt at the MO Supreme Court to silence the people’s voice. This is the final decision standing between our referendum and the ballot..
