Welcome to Missouri Mondays.
NO RIGGED MAPS! THIS IS NOT OKAY! Our Governor and the MO GOP majority legislature are bowing to the demands of a dictator, slicing and dicing our Congressional districts for their political advantage ahead of the 2026 election, not based on any legitimate extraordinary changes in census data.
WHAT CAN WE DO? We consider this effort the highest priority action to save our democracy! There is a very narrow window (now to early December) for Missourians to collect over 100K signatures across the state for a citizen’s referendum.

We have filed a citizen’s referendum to gather signatures to put this unjust map before voters on an upcoming ballot.
Missourians deserve representation that focuses on our families and communities, not advancing a specific partisan political agenda.
Politicians shouldn’t be slicing and dicing communities to pick their voters — voters should be picking their politicians.
Gerrymanders take away voters’ power and cause real harm to Missouri communities.

Signature gathering is underway! Respect Missouri Voters is a grassroots, volunteer-led campaign working to protect the citizen initiative process and make our government work for everyday Missourians. Their goal is straightforward but vital- pass a state constitutional amendment to protect majority rule in Missouri. We need 2,500 volunteers in order to gather signatures. Join our campaign to pass a ballot initiative for a state constitutional amendment that will BAN politicians from:
Overturning initiatives that voters have already passed.
Attacking citizens' ability to use the initiative process.
Deceiving voters with confusing ballot language.

We meet every Thursday at 1:30 on the Southeast corner of 9th and Oak. Sometimes we walk down to 10th and Oak where more cars drive by. Small groups of people can go into the Federal Courthouse and try to talk to staffers - no signs allowed in the courthouse but bring your best signs for visibility outside!

IMMIGRATION KNOW YOUR RIGHTS TRAINING / VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Advocates for Immigrants Rights and Reconciliation (AIRR) provides “Know Your Rights” training for community members who are directly impacted by immigration policies. No matter where you were born or what your immigration status is, you have rights under the constitution. During this training, we will review people's constitutional rights. AIRR’s goal is to educate, train and empower as many community members as possible to feel confident with their knowledge of their due process rights in order to exercise them to keep themselves and their families safe. This training also offers a plan of action when a person is detained. Additionally, AIRR offers Know Your Rights to allies and service providers on how to better protect the community they serve.
