10/28/24 Missouri Mondays - 8 days to plan your VOTE and TAKE ACTION for the change you want to see!

Welcome to Missouri Mondays!

Just 8 days until November 5 but there’s still time to make a difference!

*Make your plan to vote! Early in person voting (no excuse required) is underway! Find important election dates and voter resources below and share with family, neighbors, and friends!

*Give an hour of your time, or make a donation to help your favorite candidate win! Every action to help get out the vote can have a huge impact! Find events, volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved below!

*Help Get Out the Vote for YES on Amendment 3 to end the cruel abortion ban and restore control to make personal medical decisions back to families and their doctors! Help make history! With a YES on 3 victory, Missouri would be the first state to overturn an abortion ban!

*Talk to voters about voting YES on Proposition A to gradually raise the minimum wage to $15/hr and ensure paid sick leave for Missouri workers!

*Sign up for phone banking and canvassing in swing states to make sure Kamala Harris and Tim Walz win in November!

*Volunteer and donate to help elect Crystal Quade to be our next Governor!  Crystal is a proven leader for Missouri and will fight to protect our rights and freedoms!

*Help elect Lucas Kunce to replace insurrectionist sympathizer Josh Hawley in the U.S. Senate.

*Break the GOP supermajorities in the MO Legislature and turn the page on their extreme policies and government overreach! Fill every statewide office and the MO Legislature with Democrats who will fight for our rights and freedoms! Even an hour or two volunteering for candidates can make all the difference! See details below!

THANK YOU for staying informed and taking action with us each week. Help us spread the word by sharing this email and our Missouri Mondays sign up link: https://www.moactionalliance.com/signup.

Contact Election Protection at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683).  You can also find voting information and resources on our website at https://www.movpc.org/election-protection.  Do you have questions about voter registration deadlines, requesting absentee or mail-in ballots, or how to vote in-person during early voting or on Election Day? Call or text 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) to speak with a trained Election Protection volunteer.

  • YOUR HELP NEEDED TO PROTECT THE VOTE! To volunteer for Election Protection sign up here: https://protectthevote.net/  Every eligible voter deserves to have their vote counted. That’s the cornerstone of our democracy. And we all suffer when eligible, registered voters are turned away from the polls, unable to find their polling place, or otherwise blocked from exercising their rights.  That’s why every election year, we recruit, train, and deploy thousands of Election Protection volunteers across the nation. These trained, nonpartisan volunteers serve as voters’ first line of defense against confusing voting rules, outdated infrastructure, rampant misinformation, and needless obstacles to the ballot box.

Souls to the Polls (Kansas City)

Saturday, November 2

8:00AM - 2:00PM

Since the Reconstruction Era, Black communities have faced violent and systemic attacks on their right to vote. In the late 50s, Black churches began to organize events around election days to vote in community with each other. These events often began at church and ended with community celebrations.

Inspired by this organizing by the Black community, regional community groups will host morning coffee gatherings before traveling to their local early voting location and casting their ballots in the 2024 General Election.

Once they have voted, participants will head to a community gathering for a celebration of the right to vote.
