09/16/24 Missouri Mondays - Take urgent action for Marcellus Williams! Get vote ready! Help with YES on 3! Door knock! Phone bank! Write postcards! DO SOMETHING this week!
Welcome to Missouri Mondays!
Last week the Missouri Supreme Court ruled — Amendment 3 will be on the November 5 ballot!
“We fought and protected Missourians' right to engage in direct democracy on Amendment 3. The Missouri Supreme Court's ruling ensures that Amendment 3 will be on the November ballot, giving voters—not politicians—the power to end Missouri's abortion ban and protect reproductive freedom.” ACLU of Missouri
We have 50 days to help make sure Amendment 3 wins at the ballot box and help to elect those who will fight to protect our rights and freedoms – put Harris-Walz in the White House, Crystal Quade in the MO Governor’s mansion, fire Josh Hawley and put Lucas Kunce in the U.S. Senate, elect Democrats into every statewide office and fill the state legislature! When we fight, we WIN!
We also ask for your urgent intervention on behalf of Marcellus Williams, an innocent man scheduled for execution on September 24. See details below and ways to get involved.
THANK YOU for staying informed and taking action with us each week! Help us spread the word by sharing this email and our Missouri Mondays sign up link: https://www.moactionalliance.com/signup.

STOP THE SEPT 24 EXECUTION OF MARCELLUS WILLIAMS, AN INNOCENT MAN!
“Marcellus Williams is scheduled to be executed on Sept. 24, for a crime he did not commit. DNA evidence proves Marcellus Williams is innocent.”
Marcellus Williams is scheduled to be executed on Sept. 24 for a crime DNA proves he did not commit. The St. Louis County prosecuting attorney reviewed these DNA results and filed a motion to vacate Mr. Williams’ conviction because he believed the DNA results proved by clear and convincing evidence that Mr. Williams did not commit this crime.” A Missouri judge rejected the effort to vacate the conviction on 9/12/24 and Mr. Williams' legal team has asked Governor Parson to grant him clemency from execution.
