09/02/24 Missouri Mondays - Help elect pro-union/pro-worker candidates and help pass PropA to raise the minimum wage and provide paid sick leave!

Happy Labor Day and Welcome to Missouri Mondays!

“Unions are a critical force in American society, ensuring that everyday Americans can earn decent pay and benefits and have a voice in our democracy. Study after study has shown that unions make our economy and democracy stronger by boosting wages for workers, reducing wage inequality, increasing voter turnout for union and nonunion voters alike.”  (American Progress Jul 11 2024)  Thank unions for the 40-hour workweek, child labor law protections, better health insurance, paid vacation and holidays, just to name a few benefits.

Unfortunately many hard-working Missourians not represented by unions have to choose between their paycheck and their family's health. That’s why we need to take action to help pass Propositition A in November.  PropA is the Missourians for Healthy Families and Fair Wages ballot initiative that will gradually raise Missouri’s minimum wage to $15 by 2026 and allow employees to earn paid time off to care for themselves and loved ones.

Let’s help pass another critical measure also on the November ballot–Amendment 3 to overturn our state’s cruel total abortion ban, and put pro-union, pro-worker advocates Harris-Walz in the White House and Crystal Quade in the MO Governor’s mansion! Let’s make sure we elect pro-worker “For the People” Democrats into every statewide office and fill the state legislature!

We can do this! See details below for ways to get involved!

THANK YOU for staying informed and taking action with us each week! Help us spread the word by sharing this email and our Missouri Mondays sign up link: https://www.moactionalliance.com/signup.
