"The time has come... when we must recognize that our mutual devotion to our own land must never blind us to the good of all lands and of all peoples. In the end... we are 'One World' and that which injures any one of us, injures all of us. Only by remembering this will we finally have a chance to build a lasting peace." –Eleanor Roosevelt

TUES AUG 26 - NATIONAL WOMEN’S EQUALITY DAY

August 26th was designated by Congress as “Women’s Equality Day” at the behest of Rep. Bella Abzug (D-NY), in 1971 and passed in 1973. The date was selected to commemorate the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting women the right to vote. The 19th Amendment prohibits the states and the federal government from denying the right to vote to citizens of the United States on the basis of sex. Find more information about National Women’s Equality Day, the 19th Amendment, women’s rights, and the suffragist movement here:

Join our effort by signing up here:  https://respectmovoters.org

Respect Missouri Voters is a grassroots, volunteer-led campaign working to protect the citizen initiative process and make our government work for everyday Missourians. Their goal is straightforward but vital– pass a state constitutional amendment to protect majority rule in Missouri. We need 2,500 volunteers in order to gather signatures.  Join our campaign to pass a ballot initiative for a state constitutional amendment that will BAN politicians from:

  • Overturning initiatives that voters have already passed.

  • Attacking citizens' ability to use the initiative process.
