05/27/24 Missouri Mondays - Honor their sacrifice on Memorial Day and beyond / Commit to take action protecting freedoms and democracy for all.
Welcome to Missouri Mondays!
It’s Memorial Day, a time to remember and honor our fallen. In his Proclamation on Prayer for Peace Memorial Day 2024, President Biden calls on each of us to “honor the brave women and men who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation’s freedom. We recommit to keeping our sacred obligation to their survivors, families, and caregivers. Together, we vow to honor their memories by carrying on their work to forge a more perfect Union. Since our Nation’s founding, members of our Armed Forces have been willing to lay down their lives — not for a person or a place but for an idea unlike any other in human history: the idea of the United States of America. We are the only Nation in the world founded on the idea that we are all created equal and deserve to be treated equally throughout our entire lives. Generations of America’s beloved daughters and sons have dared all, risked all, and given all for this idea. Today, as they lie in eternal peace, we continue to live by the light of liberty they kept burning bright.”
Let us honor their memory and sacrifice with our continued commitment to take action protecting freedoms and democracy for all.
THANK YOU for using your voice to make a difference each week. With so much at stake we need all hands on deck! Help us grow our numbers by spreading the word and sharing this email and sign up link for Missouri Mondays weekly email: https://www.moactionalliance.com/signup.

National Moment of Remembrance

3:00 p.m. local time
“In honor and recognition of all of our fallen service members, the Congress, by a joint resolution approved May 11, 1950, as amended (36 U.S.C. 116), has requested that the President issue a proclamation calling on the people of the United States to observe each Memorial Day as a day of prayer for permanent peace and designating a period on that day when the people of the United States might unite in prayer and reflection. The Congress, by Public Law 106-579, has also designated 3:00 p.m. local time on that day as a time for all Americans to observe, in their own way, the National Moment of Remembrance.

HELP SUPPORT THE WORK OF MISSOURIANS FOR CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOM TO RESTORE ABORTION AND REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS IN MISSOURI
WE DID IT!!! We were required to collect 172,000 valid signatures by May 5th, 2024, to ensure Missourians get to vote on ending our cruel abortion ban at the ballot and thanks to the monumental efforts of signature gatherers all across the state, Missourians for Constitutional Freedom delivered 380k+ signatures to the Secretary of State before the May 5th deadline! In just three months, hundreds of thousands of Missourians signed the petition to help put abortion rights on the ballot and #EndTheBanMO.
Missourians for Constitutional Freedom is a statewide coalition of organizations and concerned citizens from across the state working to establish the right for all Missourians to make decisions about our own reproductive health care – including abortion, birth control, and miscarriage care – without interference from out-of-touch politicians.
Your continued financial support is vital and appreciated! To make a donation go here: https://secure.actblue.com/donate/missourians-for-constitutional-freedom-1
