🚨URGENT FOR ALL MISSOURI VOTERS!!

‼️READ Missouri Independent’s reporting on upcoming statewide ballot measures for the August and November elections! What you need to know and SHARE!

ALL statewide measures for either the August or November ballot as of May 21: https://missouriindependent.com/2026/05/21/missouri-voters-could-face-as-many-as-nine-ballot-measures-in-2026

SHARE this information and stay tuned for additional information on statewide ballot measures!

❌VOTE NO!! on Amendment 4 and Amendment 5 - August Ballot

❌Amendment 4 - Changes the threshold for constitutional amendments proposed by citizen initiative petition. Currently initiative petitions require a simple majority to pass. Amendment 4 would require approval of citizen initiative petitions by a majority of voters in each of Missouri’s eight congressional districts. This would mean as few as 5% of Missouri voters could defeat citizen initiative petitions. The changes in Amendment 4 would make it virtually impossible for voters to change the constitution or state law through the citizen initiative process. ❌VOTE NO on Amendment 4!

❌Amendment 5 - Authorizes lawmakers to expand sales taxes as part of an effort to eliminate the state income tax. “The common thread between the amendments [Amendments 4 & 5] is luring Missouri citizens to surrender long-held constitutional power and freedom, and giving that power to politicians to use unchecked.” “Amendment 5 was Kehoe’s top priority during this year’s legislative session. If approved, it would allow lawmakers to apply sales taxes to transactions not currently taxed, with any new sales-tax revenue tied to cuts in the top state income tax rate, currently 4.7%. Lawmakers would have five years to redefine what is subject to sales tax.” Missouri Independent ❌VOTE NO on Amendment 5

📣 TAKE ACTION NOW! Tell Denny Hoskins to Certify our Referendum!

✅ Preliminary data from the Missouri Secretary of State's office confirms that a sufficient number of signatures were collected, in every required congressional district, to put the People Not Politicians referendum on the November ballot.

‼️ Secretary of State Denny Hoskins knows we have the signatures to qualify. Precedent shows that once a referendum or petition has reached the required number of verified signatures in each of the required districts, the SOS immediately certifies it. Hoskins is trying to find ways to delay our referendum. But his delays aren't protocol, he's playing a political game. Missouri voters will have the final say on politicians' gerrymandered congressional district map whether Hoskins likes it or not.

>>>>>

✍️ TAKE ACTION! Write a Letter to the Editor to speak out about your right to a citizen’s referendum on the gerrymandered maps!

Volunteer to write a Letter to the Editor

Email Jamie Johnson for more information: jamie@peoplenotpoliticiansmo.org

For more than 100 years and 27 different times, Missouri has upheld a clear and fundamental principle: the people have the constitutional right to directly shape our laws through the referendum process. This power exists to ensure that when the government overreaches, Missourians still have a meaningful way to be heard. But, politicians are attempting to silence our voices and override the clear will of the people – forcing us to vote in rigged elections that we said we don’t want.
