11/14/22 Missouri Mondays - Thank you to all candidates and volunteers for your tireless dedication!
Welcome to another Missouri Mondays!
Thank you for your tireless efforts in supporting candidates up and down the ballot who would bring positive change to all Missouri residents! You’ve knocked doors, donated funds, made phone calls, and worked hard in countless other ways over the last months. Your work has paid off! Although we didn’t enjoy victory in every race, we have flipped seats in Missouri and shaved three seats from the Republican majority. Nationally, Democrats are projected to maintain control of the Senate, and no red wave materialized.
According to the Missouri House Democrats Legislative Caucus, together we have knocked over a million doors! And “We flipped House Districts 12, 34, 47, 50, 98, and 136 to elect Jamie Johnson, Kemp Strickler, Adrian Plank, Doug Mann, Deb Lavender, and Stephanie Hein to the state house for a total of 52 caucus members.”

Now we take a brief rest and re-energize for our continued efforts to ensure our better future. Legislators will start filing bills December 1, many of which would harm segments of the population. Expect attacks on our ballot initiative process in the future, as some lawmakers try to silence the voices of the people.

During National Native American Heritage Month, we celebrate Indigenous peoples past and present and rededicate ourselves to honoring Tribal sovereignty, promoting Tribal self-determination, and upholding the United States’ solemn trust and treaty responsibilities to Tribal Nations….. I urge all Americans, as well as their elected representatives at the Federal, State, and local levels, to observe this month with appropriate programs, ceremonies, and activities, and to celebrate November 25, 2022, as Native American Heritage Day.
