10/28/19 - Missouri Mondays - Access to safe, legal abortion care in Missouri is on the line!

This is not a drill! Missouri could become the first state without a health center providing abortion care! Earlier this year the GOP majority Missouri legislature passed extreme abortion ban HB 126 with no exceptions for victims of rape or incest. Governor Mike Parson not only signed this dangerous bill into law, his administration weaponized our health and safety when his Department of Health and Senior Services denied license renewal for Missouri’s lone provider of abortion healthcare services, Planned Parenthood Reproductive Health Services in St. Louis. Starting today, the state’s Administrative Hearing Commission will begin the license renewal hearings. According to Planned Parenthood Advocates MO, “This case will decide whether Missouri will become the first state in the country since Roe v. Wade to have zero health centers that provide abortion, impacting more than a million Missourian women of reproductive age.”
