09/16/19 - Missouri Mondays - Take action NOW to put Medicaid Expansion on the ballot in 2020!

Governor Parson’s not so special legislative session last week cost Missouri taxpayers around $16,000 to fix a car and boat sales tax loophole. Meanwhile the crisis affecting nearly 130,000 Missourians including 95,000 children kicked off Medicaid rolls since 2018 was ignored. “Let the welfare of the people be the supreme law” is Missouri’s state motto yet our Governor and GOP majority lawmakers continue to turn their backs on everyday Missourians including our most vulnerable. It’s time for the people to take action!

Healthcare for Missouri is leading the effort to expand Medicaid in Missouri and has begun collecting Medicaid expansion petition signatures throughout the state to put the issue on the ballot in 2020! Medicaid expansion will:

Help more than 200,000 Missourians currently choosing between putting food on the table or paying for life-saving care

Bring more than a billion in Federal tax dollars to Missouri every year, money that Missouri has been losing out on for years

Help our struggling rural hospitals stay open

Create thousands of jobs and boost Missouri’s economy

More than 172,000 signatures are needed to put Medicaid expansion on the ballot. Here’s how you can help:
