01/20/20 - Missouri Mondays - On This MLK Day We Will Not Be Silent About Things That Matter!

As we celebrate Martin Luther King Day of Service, we must speak up for “things that matter” to us and to our fellow citizens. In his State of the State speech, Governor Parson claimed that the state could not afford Medicaid Expansion without cuts to education and infrastructure. He claimed that it would require a “massive tax increase that Missourians cannot afford,” although research has found that expanding Medicaid actually resulted in lives saved and substantial state savings. Expanding Medicaid would bring more of our tax dollars home to Missouri, keep our rural hospitals open, and improve our economy.
We cannot continue to sacrifice the health of our citizens. We cannot let over 100,000 children be cut from Medicaid, more children than any other state in the nation.
Speak up for WHAT MATTERS and DEMAND Medicaid Expansion. Contact your Representative and Senator today.
