Missouri GOP Senate leaders are wasting no time in the first days of the 2020 legislative session on their stated priority...undoing government ethics reforms in the Clean Missouri constitutional amendment overwhelmingly approved by voters. The Joplin Globe editorial board wrote, “We urge lawmakers to listen to what Missourians had to say barely a year ago” and we couldn’t agree more! So for this week’s Missouri Mondays let’s send this message to them loud and clear, “Listen to voters! Hands off Clean Missouri!
Senate Joint Resolution (SJR) 38 sponsored by GOP Sen. Dan Hegeman (District 12 Northwest Missouri) proposes changes to several provisions of Clean Missouri including the process of redistricting. A hearing for SJR 38 is scheduled this Tuesday, Jan 14 in the Senate Rules, Joint Rules, Resolutions and Ethics Committee. Contact these Senators and make your voice heard!
